“The mountain is seen as a mountain, then the mountain is not seen as a mountain, and finally the mountain is seen as a mountain again” originates from traditional Chinese philosophical thinking. The work, with “observing the mountain” as its theme, shapes the traditional Chinese landscape philosophy through modern freehand sculpture techniques. It turns the momentum, shape, texture, and implication of the mountains into a poetic expression of the structure of the sculpture, exploring the symbolic meaning of “mountains”.
