Olives
Selected for the 2025 London Art Biennale, Spain. Acrylic on canvas, 2021. 81x81cm.
In this work the author makes a detailed study of some olives. It is part of the series “Mogollones, the beauty of the ordinary” in which the painter tries to break with the classic idea of still life, giving all the prominence to the object and its interaction, product of the proximity of each other. Inspiration comes from the everyday, what surrounds her and knows, trying to raise the ordinary to the extraordinary plane.
