Everyday life: slow moments

Everyday life: slow moments by Claudia D. Roscelli, Mixed media on canvas, 2025

Selected for the 2025 London Art Biennale, Spain. Mixed media on canvas, 2025. 50x70cm.

“Everyday life: slow moments” is a mixed media work on canvas in which the artist captures the beauty of small, everyday pleasures. Through simple elements such as two cups of coffee on a table adorned with decorative tiles, the piece evokes the calm of a moment savoured either alone or in company, without haste. Although there are no human figures depicted, their intentional absence highlights their implied presence, inviting the viewer to see themselves in the scene. The use of familiar objects underscores the importance of those unhurried moments that are part of daily life.
