Judson Valdez and Molly Valdez

Combining video, movement and music, ‘i forgot to tell u’ shows the complex perceptions of a shared memory. The primary footage shows the artists on a walk together in Tokyo while footage of Molly’s movements blur and mesh over the top. The videos then combine with music created by Judson for the piece to retell the feeling of the moment between the two. All this blends together to create a new memory shared between the artists that is both as real and as true as the one which it is based on.

The Valdez consists of creative partners and spouses, Molly Valdez and Judson Valdez, video artists living in Brooklyn, New York. With a focus in creating time based work, they create experimental video art, bridging multimedia footage, alternative ways of recording and performance.
