Alter Ego
Selected for the 2025 London Art Biennale, Bulgaria. Acrylic on canvas, 2025. 116x89cm.
This painting represents the alter ego as a hidden self beneath the mask of identity we present to the world. The colorful, braided threads symbolize the interplay between conscious and unconscious forces, reflecting Jung’s psychology of persona and shadow, as well as existentialist struggles of authenticity. It invites the viewer to question the fluid nature of identity and the tension between societal expectations and true self-awareness.
