OVERBEARING explores the psychological weight of unseen power structures through a subtle but dense visual language. The work draws from themes of dominance, surveillance, and emotional containment, using form and material to suggest an oppressive presence that is both intimate and institutional. Rather than illustrating control, it evokes the atmosphere of it—felt but not always seen. This tension between visibility and influence is central to the viewer’s experience, inviting a quiet confrontation with authority and its lingering shadows.
