Ekaterina Sieedugina (Kordeliz)

A painting from the surrealist series “Cognition”, reflecting my perception of the world through simple and universally understood objects that surround us. The artwork was created when I relocated to another country with my family. Through routine, we began to restore our psychological balance. It is the elementary routines that constitute our existence. The ability to wash and hang laundry implies confidence that the family will stay here for some time, capturing a moment of tranquility that provides hope for everything to be fine. The water in the painting symbolizes life’s unpredictability, alternating between calm and turbulence. It is crucial to find moments of tranquility and stability, even if it’s just hanging clean laundry.

Ekaterina Sieedugina (Kordeliz). Born in 1986 in Russia. She focuses on abstraction and surrealism. Techniques: oil, acrylic, mixed media. She explores the plasticity of colour, and the ability of objects to change their shape due to external influences, while retaining their substance. She currently lives and works in Budva, Montenegro, and actively participates in international exhibitions, e.g., ArtAnkara’24 (Turkey), Echo of Family Relations’24 (Serbia), ArtContactIstanbul’23 (Turkey).
