“Diurnal Lucid Dreaming” captures the moment of transformation through the dissolution of form. A levitating temple, once solid and structured, begins to melt into the sea, evoking the ongoing nature of change. In the foreground, a figure dissolves into the water, holding caducei as guides through this process. The sea, a symbol of the unconscious, serves as a space where boundaries blur and the known yields to the unknown.The work speaks to the inevitability of transmutation where stability and identity give way to fluidity. Kontogiannis uses this moment of metamorphosis to reflect on the constant state of flux that defines both the physical and metaphysical worlds.

Aris is a self-taught painter and architect-engineer, b.1988 in Athens, Greece. Through his work, he invites viewers into a world where imagination and reality intertwine, forming compositions imbued with a dream-like quality.
