“Hidden Desire” is one of 6 paintings of the series “Denial”, a private body of work that addresses the human dilemma of having to hide and suppress emotions, desires, fears and urges in order to comply with societal norms.“Hidden Desire” in particular speaks about desires that are being kept away from the light of day to not disturb or even lose what we already have. May that be sexual desires, the want for a more exciting job or the secret wish for a new life altogether. Our wants and needs can be numerous but ever so often we just feel unable to express them.

Zora is a traditionally trained scenery painter with extensive work experience in movie production, who became a professional fine artist in 2017 and a tattoo artist in 2022, both as an autodidact.
