Linear Chaos

Linear Chaos by Viktoriya Kovaleva, Acrylic on board, 2021

Selected for the 2025 London Art Biennale, United States of America. Acrylic on board, 2021. 42x38cm.

This painting is about the architecture of inner conflict — how each belief, each fear, and each longing pulls the self into different directions. It is a meditation on how we construct our realities not from clarity, but from tension, contradiction, and the desperate search for coherence.

Viktoriya Kovaleva is a contemporary artist whose work explores the emotional and philosophical dimensions of human choice, belief, and inner conflict.Using geometric forms, vivid color fields, and structured abstraction, she creates visual landscapes reflecting the tension between chaos and order, intuition and reason. Influenced by modern abstraction, architecture, and existential thought, her paintings seek balance amid fragmentation and meaning within hidden emotional and mental frameworks.
