A formed male figure is breaking free from the shell of an egg – a metaphor for gestation and rebirth. Maturity, just like any developmental process, takes time, and here, the focus is not on physical growth but on the evolution of consciousness, intellect, and behavior… of a man. The archetype of the “man with a white beard”, often seen as the pinnacle of maturity (and power), is reimagined. Stripped of his traditional authority, he lies naked within the egg – raw, vulnerable, yet on his way to emerge anew. His hand, gentle and clean, embodies a new kind of “touch”, suggesting sensitivity and intentionality.Ultimately, this piece wants to invite a dialogue on what a “new masculinity” can be.
To me, a painting is not just an object—it is an altar. A container for spirit. I strive to create artworks that are meant not only to be seen, but to be felt, to be contemplated in silence. They are offerings meant to evoke remembrance of the profound mystery that pulses through all things.
