Mie was born in May 1968. Almost from then on, all matter,which she got hold of and passed through her hands, took on a new form. From foil to plasticine, from clay to ceramics, from wax to bronze.After years of training at the Kortrijk Art Academy, it soon became clear that for Mie, the body language of her figures is central.Moreover, those creations are usually in communication with each other and thus provoke emotions. In this way, these creative snapshots create movement in her work.
