This is the portrait of Lara, the wife of a choir singer. In Trentino, Italy, traditional male choirs hold a place of great cultural pride, performing regularly and often traveling abroad. Yet, the women behind these men— who quietly support them by enabling weekly rehearsals—remain largely unseen. With this painting, I want to honor Lara and the many women like her. Her warm gaze and gentle expression reflect her bright and kind nature, qualities that often go unnoticed behind the scenes. Lara stands as a symbol of silent strength and unwavering support. Through this portrait, she steps out of the shadows and into the light, no longer just a background figure, but a radiant presence whose quiet dedication deserves recognition.
