Luca Marovino

Pulcinella is a Neapolitan mask from the commedia dell’arte.He is an ironic and cheeky character who is not afraid to make fun of the powerful and to reveal the behind the scenes of society. Comical and tragic at the same time, Pulcinella can make people laugh and reflect and always manages to get by despite the difficulties.Tired of being used as a puppet, he manages to free himself from the strings and escapes towards his own freedom and independence.

Born in Carrara, Italy, in 1969, he specialized in marble techniques. He has participated in numerous sculpture competitions, creating monumental works in South Korea, Brazil, Spain, France, Turkey, Iran, and Lebanon. He has received awards and recognitions in jewelry design. He is currently a Teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Italy.
