Fate
Selected for the 2025 London Art Biennale, United States of America. Oil on canvas, 2020. 67x82x3cm.
The idea came to me a decade ago. A woman, who manipulates a person as a marionette, represents Fate. But in spite of all her control, the man is still trying to free himself from her ties. We all are as well brought in this life under certain circumstances which affect our decisions like the strings of marionettes. Can we break free?
For as long as I can remember, art was my passion. My work is mind provoking. It is not the pleasure to the viewer’s eye that I seek. I want them to battle, to think, to wonder. I carefully choose my project; think about message I want to send to the public. Sometimes the ideas come to me in my dreams. Portraits have always been my passion. I enjoy working in both mediums: charcoal and oil.
