Muse

Muse by Argenita Fetahu, Oil on canvas, 2017

Selected for the 2025 London Art Biennale, Kosovo. Oil on canvas, 2017. 130x110cm.

“Muze” is a reflection of my inner world, where I am not the muse who inspires, but the one who quietly supports. The naked female figure represents purity and sincerity, alone in a space where she can breathe. Her weary face reveals a soul that gave everything, yet remains unseen. In my hands, she finds warmth and shelter from a world that tries to change her. Earth tones speak of endurance and love, while a soft golden light above-blending yellow and white-hints at a new dawn beyond the dark door.

Argenita Fetahu is a Kosovo-based visual artist specializing in painting, illustration, and large-scale murals. With a background in fine arts and a master’s degree from the University of Prishtina, her work explores identity, emotion, and spatial context. Using a range of materials and techniques, she creates compositions that blend technical precision with deep conceptual narratives.
